NEW PICTURES

I'm at the school library now, uploading pictures from a mini-photoshoot I did this morning. I've finished a couple of details on the Bronzino dress (making a green/golden ring, plus a closing patent on the girdle and pearl necklace, and also tightening the shoulder straps), and I wanted to see the total. I still hope to take even better pictures (with someone actually photographing, so I don't have to run back and forth between the camera and the chair...), but it was nice to see these with the small details added. Haha, the first was meant as a joke, but I think I might add it to my site. It's amusing because it's so pretentious (sp?) and over-the-top symbolistic.

Close-up of the ring. I've used a cheap silver ring as base, and I glued the green glass piece on and then adding blu-tack (sic!) around it, painted with a bronze-golden paint:

For the Raphael appendix I already had the groundshape in the form of an irregular upside-down heartshape. Otherwise it was made int he same way as the Bronzino ring . The stones are a bit smaller and different-shaped compared to the portrait, and I will replace the tear-shaped pearl with a bigger one (when/if I find one) - but overall I think the look is good, and I'm looking forward to taking some new Raphael pictures.
