UPDATING SITE

Remodeling costumes might be the most boring thing ever. But I have a couple of old costumes I can't squeeze myself into to save my life. Apparently I've gained a LOT of weight since 2003. I don't feel all that bigger, but the costumes don't lie...

Right now I'm re-doing the Hannibal slavegirl costume from "Phantom of the Opera". It's made of 12 panels in the bodice, of alternate red and green velvet. I'm replacing the back panels, making them bigger, in hope of that fixing it all. I think it'll work. While I'm at it, I'm replacing flimsy cotton shoulder straps with sturdier elastic ones. I'm also replacing the too-heavy glass beads over the shoulders with lighter strings of beads.

Maybe I'll finish the snap buttons for the rope skirt as well...

The reason for doing this is that I'm upgrading my web site. I'm adding lots of new pictures, especially of the early stages of the making. I'm also adding better closeups. I planned on taking new pictures of that slavegirl/Elissa costume, but there were no chance in hell I would be able to close the bodice. So I'm remodeling it before new pics are taken. In the mean time, here are the much improved sites for the blue Wishing dress and the salmon Aminta dress:

When I'm done with the Phantom costumes, I'll continue with the Renaissance ones. Maybe I'll finally take decent pictures of the finished Florentine Peacock dress as well...
