Not doing too well this week. I feel like I am barely keeping my head above water. BUt atleast it is above water, which is more that some people can say...sooo....bright side...right

I'm a no bullshit counsellor. I don't have a degree or nothin'.
You are possibly your best no bullshit counsellor. Just recognizing that you are able to fool the therapist says that you know what you're doing.
The trick is to stop doing it.
Chosing to change your life is a constant activity. It takes a real conscious look at who you are, why you are doing what you're doing and where you want to be.
It takes facing the parts of yourself that maybe you don't want to face - that you hide in denial and suchlike. And it isn't pleasant, and you have some times when you're upset and cry and let go of the way's you've defined yourself.
Um, so I agree with Rah(first sign of the apocalypse, eh rah?), you are your own best counselor. However, I can aid you in the meantime as well if you like? I am always telling you that you should stop blaming yourself! Start blaming everyone else! It IS their fault, after all...wink wink wink. Seriously, you are a good, hard-working person, and you need to lay off yourself. When other people we know bitch and moan to you or about you, I GUARANTEE YOU it is ALMOST ALWAYS them! THEM, NOT YOU! And its about time you stopped being afraid to tell them to LEAVE YOU ALONE. Especially since it is NOT YOUR FAULT. Ok, done with the shouting now. But take care of yourself! YOU are important! To me, to Mike, to Joel(I just asked), to Becky, to your Mom, to lots of folks.
Don't know if you read my last ranting... but say it with me anyway:
WE ARE NOT AND DO NOT HAVE TO BE PERFECT!!!
Somewhere along the line we both got super-woman complexes and a large degree of being able to hide the insanity inside from the therapists is performance training and natural talent. I do not have anyone I can recommend you to in Omaha (Sioux City, I'd have you covered) as the only one I know down there is a Christian councellor my uncle is seeing. Otherwise girlie, I would.
It's a good thing that you recognize that you need someone (besides yourself) to talk to. That shows strength. Good luck.
PS- I heard that you might try to come see me at work. What the hell were you staying at the freaking Clarion for anyway! :-P Miss you!

http://www.xeromag.com/fvpolycommunication.html even though this is a poly page, this dude has some excellent ideas about how to really get to know yourself. I'd also suggest: http://www.mcwilliams.com/books/books/love101/
