my mom and dad told me that they have a lot of records that i can look through. among them were Barbara Streisand, Fats Dominoe, Alabama, Willie Nelson with Julio Iglesias, and some other stuff. I've never really heard of any Alabama's stuff, so i decided to give it a chance. I guess its because when i think of Alabama, i think of Lynard Skynard, and they're pretty cool. I don't like Alabama. I did start liking some of Fats Dominoe's stuff, because in my jazz class, they showed us some of his stuff, and i learned to appreciate his stuff, along with Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong, and others that i can't really think of right now. so out of all my parents albums, i found one that i liked.
my parents got me an awesome camera and a record player for christmas, which is why i'm talking about records.
i went to Hot Topic, and i bought Pearl Jam. i was disappointed when i came home and it was all scratchy and jumpy, and it made me sad. so i asked my dad, and he fixed it by taping a nickel to the top of the needle thingy. it makes me think that all the new technology, you need all sorts of gadgets and you need to go to Radio Shack to fix your shit, if your lucky. the older more antique-ish stuff you can fix with a nickel. pretty cool.
a good place to buy records is Time Capsule. I bought Black Sabbath, Van halen, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and that's pretty much it. record players are pretty awesome.
