So, little known truth -
I love tending bar and serving. I do. It's hell on my feet and I hate the fact that I get harassed and grabbed by drunk bar guys, but I just love the atmosphere of being in the bar. And it's good money. I've had other job chances with places more closely aligned to what I want to do with my life but the cash is too good to pass up. And because it's Boston and the Celtics don't suck right now and the Pats are in the Superbowl I can make $500 on a mediocre night. Boston Sports Fans don't fuck around.
There are moments, small ones, when I think about just saying fuck it to all of my stupidass education and just tending bar until I take one over. Good music, good sports fans ...
And then I remember that I have to somehow juggle class, a huge assignment, job interview prep, and a shift that starts at 4:00 tonight and pretty much runs until Monday morning (it's Super Bowl Weekend, people) ...
Okay, so maybe I'll be glad when it's done. ;)
