Bwahaahaa....cool things for my Mac
Well, today I went on a search for a hack to get myself a clear dock. I have yet to find anything that will accomplish that under the OS I'm running ( 10.2.8 ) but I did find a site with a ton of excellent cool things for Macs, including boot images, cursor packs,a window-shade hack, and even something that emulates the new app for 10.3, exposé. Instead of minimizing the window, it leaves it on-screen, but all tiny-like and transparent. Hella cool.
I also learned something cool about the page file and memory swapping system that OS X uses. Seems I can make my system faster by putting the page file in its own partition on a hard drive separate from the drive with my system folder. Unfortunately I have no way to back up all the stuff on my other drive...22.38 GB of artwork, 62.82 GB of mp3s, and 3.5 GB of "other." Hopefully I'll be able to get to all that if/when I get a CD/DVD burner drive over Christmas ( crosses fingers ).
