I remember when I was afraid. In some ways, I still am. But enough about me. It's not always easy taking risks, speaking up, becoming accepted ny others. With risks there are always those you wish you hadn't taken. With speaking up there is always something you wish you had not said. With being accepted you don't know everyone you're associated with. Someone you've never known (and probably don't care much to talk to) may come up and act as if you've known them your entire life. Or you'll hit a string of bad karma and unintentionally offend those you're close to. Perhaps you'll take the wrong risk and end up too far from yourself to recover. Sometimes, it's best to stay afraid.
Pardon me if this is just serving to sow more dragons' teeth, but who are you to talk about experiences? You, someone who fears the things she wishes she could do? Sometimes I wish I had a life like yours - angsty and emo (not that I'm not), but at least you're still somewhat intact. Without the crushing defeat of failure, the innocent mind is ruled by fearfulness and ignorance of life's true horrors. She's not a fair mistress; that's the only meaningful experience there is to be had. I could refer you to Marvin the Paranoid Android, but I'm not sure who would get the reference. "Life... Don't talk to me about life..."
Well, that and that of finding the person you'll spend the rest of your life with. Yup, if you're reading this, I'm talking about you Dawn. Finding unconditional love is one of the few things that make life worth going through.
Appy polly loggies for the generalization; everyone seemed to be agreeing with you, so I assumed you were being the same person they all were. You know what they say about assuming. Dawn isn't trying to run away from the problem, she merely found a solution that worked at the moment. It may or may not have been the best one, but it solved some of the problem. In my opinion, no one sleeps peacefully. Even if you can't think of something, there's always something everyone wishes they could go back and change. Just as in the waking world, there is and can never be true peace.

thats the worst advice ever
at least people that take risks and come up empty handed can say theyve tried
in this state, ill always wonder what might have been if i wouldve just
taken this chance or that chance.
people that go for it dont have to wonder.
