And up until that point I thought this was gonna be a rewrite of TKIM. I wonder whose idea it was to call the florist's - surely the hardware store would have been a better idea, at least - you can buy bbq lighters.
"That's the last time I let Willow help Dawn with a science project."
In my head canon, Willow and Dawn team up to kick some serious mystical ass post-Chosen. Wicked dangerous, those women.
Well, it is sort of a plant problem. And honestly, much like I'm sure Sunnydale undertakers have emergency supplies of holy water, I'd honestly expect Sunndale florists to have some contingency plan for giant man-eating plants. :)

(No, I'm not still bitter that neither in the tv show or even in the comics, it never occurred to anybody to utilize the awesomeness of potential awesomeness of Dawn's Key-ness. No, I'm not bitter AT ALL.)
BTW, your Dawn Summers demands an explanation for this bullshit icon was one of the very first icons I saw in this fandom and it STILL makes me laugh. Mind if I snag?
I don't think my idea would be "Dawn as the Key" specifically - I always preferred the idea that she was fully human after "The Gift", and that her superpower (being clever) is something she gets on her own. But I'm open to other suggestions. :)
