It was appalling to her. Her stomach twisted in funny knots; she shivered in a way she didn't like. She pulled her lover closer, remembering Spike would always protect her.
Her dolls whispered that wouldn't always be so: the Slayer would take him too. She'd punish them later for telling such lies for their love was forever and with love always came the strongest protection.
