My apologies; saw the prompt about half an hour agoand just. could. not. resist...

Concerned by the silence, Buffy dumped the shopping.
"Mom? "
Turning into The Slayer, she reached cagily for the phone and dialled the library.
"Giles... "
She slowly removed Mr. Pointy from the back of her jeans, and silently started taking the stairs one by one. Carefully treading the path to the bedroom, she scared the hell out of her Mother and her Watcher.
After the screaming she started to worry even more about their paleness, and the rapidity Giles took to cleaning his glasses.
Suspicion took hold; strongly flavoured with Egyptian river water.
"Mommy?"
"That talk about suitable protection..? "
