A/N: I added part of quote that is a personal favourite of mine and one I think Giles would like too, “The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects the wind; the realist adjusts the sails.”
There were times he’d forget she was a teenager. That was never so with the others. They still seemed impossibly young. Yet at times, his Slayer was quite mature for her age. This time was not one of them.
Taking out her frustration on a helpless newbie, she ranted, “You know what sucks? Being out here every night when I could be at The Bronze having a life!”
Giles rolled his eyes. “Plunge and move on!”
Seconds later it was dust and she let out a heavy sigh.
“Adjust the sails, Buffy,” Giles counseled.
“Mocha or Ice cream?”
He smiled.
