Three quote inspired drabbles

A.n believe me, you have no idea how much trying to post on my cellphone resembles banging your head against a brick wall until you've actually done it.

Hangover

Rupert drew the bedclothes over his head and closed his eyes tightly, trying almost desperately to ignore the way the traffic and birdsong threatened to turn the silvers of pain shooting through his head into a blinding headache. The thought of mouldy bread or stale crackers for breakfast wasn’t all that encouraging, either.

Damn it, but life sucked.

Why had they spent the last of the cash on booze?

Then a pair of warm lips brushed at the back of his neck, and he grinned.

Okay, so occasionally, if he forgot the smaller details, then maybe it didn’t really suck.

Life

She spent so long wishing for a fast track back out of there since she had been drawn back into the pain, noise and confusion that she hadn’t noticed what was happening. She hadn’t noticed Willow falling, the cracks between Xander and Anya, or the way Dawn was struggling.

Caught up in her life and pain the world fell to the wayside.

She couldn't remember what relief was, until after fighting back to back with Dawn, and the world survived.

Right then life didn't suck. She couldn't say exactly when it happened, but she wanted to
show Dawn the world.

Dull

“This crappy little life, this tiny little world just keeps sucking you down. It keeps sucking and sucking, until you feel like you’re a part of all the mud and muck, and that their problems are your problems, and that his life is your life. But it’s not. Can you honestly tell me, Dawnie, that this shell, this life you’re trapped in isn’t one great big sucking pit of dull?”

Dawn smiled back at Glory, looking a lot more confident than she felt.

"Yeah, there are times when it sucks. But that just makes the good times that much better."
