I saw a wonderful, beautiful heart-story documentary about the time just before birth and how various mothers chose to spend the last few minutes. It was incredibly touching and absolutely sacred. It moved from the natural birth mommas having their babies with the dolphins, in a plastic blown up pool, in a crowded Vietnamese hospital, and by C section (though the surgery wasn't graphic at all). There were a few indigenous women represented too, with their rituals.
I always have wondered what the psychological impact of a C section has on the child and mother. And, the 'twilight births', wow, and this is from the modern, 'civilized' world?
