Welcome to the beginning of the age of Big Brother Reborn....

Its been a while, since I posted here... wow I almost always type that first... oh well. I post today because of my current frustration with -drum roll- OUR GOVERNMENT. Now lets get a few things straight. To begin with, I am not your average, undereducated, ignorant, or self delusional citizen of the United States. I know damn well that we aren't the heroes we try to be, that sometimes we are just nosy Parker's. I am also not an anarchist, by any means. To live without some form of governing would cause more harm than good and leave everyone open to the aggressions of others and one another. And if I have to try and keep this concise... I know that sometimes government works. Sometimes the system does actually, in-spite of itself, get things done. Now to get to the point.
As of late... I have become increasingly frightened of what we are allowing ourselves to become.. in the name of morality, conscience, and security. We have a president, whom normally I support, who appears to be attempting to create an imperialistic and expansionist government... We have judges, lawyers, and law enforcement... who are no longer defending the victims... but are actually victimizing more people themselves. And finally... we have a population to afraid and disinterested to do anything about it. There are only a few morals we should follow: Honesty, kindness to all others, and compassion/understanding. To try and consider anything else... is just to convolute the basics.. and lets face it... always missing the mark. We strive to be the model of so much, yet fall short of it all. In the end, we are no better than those that we are accusing. But again, I'm going to broad on my current views... and myself, getting away from the current argument.
Read this article. I for one spend quite a bit of time online... My having a laptop allows me to use it when my son and I are reading books (I enjoy multitasking... and in some ways... must always be doing more than one thing at a time)... I spend quite a bit of time searching for images and reading articles of varying opinion/origin. I have a great interest in philosophy, theology, medicine, art, music, and lets just say a vast array of things. My current image/art interest is in tattoos. I have found quite a few tasteful (though some may say questionable) images of full body tattooed women/men, that I just can't help but adore. I find the art of tattooing to be beautiful and one of the purest forms of expression. I don't personally want a bunch of government guys to look at anything I have and deem it inappropriate... thus shutting it down. I am looking forward to the posting of the shots from this years AM-Jam Tattoo Expo... Last years female/male winners had some very lovely ink applied to them. I also look extensively into religions... muslim being one of them... Next thing I know... I'll be being totted away from my son... just because I took an interest in something that many apply, stereotypically might I add, to terrorists and their sympathizers. In short, our government is heading down a path, that if not corrected... leads to an all to predictable end. We have seen these things in history, supported by multiple examples.
I have attempted to resist jumping on the band wagon of those who are currently against our president and the war.. but I must now. I feel that the war is going no where and that it is time to leave a people to their own. We will never en-state our style of government on Iraq or any other nation where religion plays a major role in day to day life... it is impossible. Government and power do not sway people... faith does. Faith is our answer to that which science and logic can't. When it comes down to it... the only style of government that works for some places, is a theologically driven one.... perhaps its time we face the fact that not everyone wants church and state to be separate around the world. It pains me to say this... but the Armed Force of the United States... Navy, Marines, Army Reserves, Army, and the Air Force... need a new spokesman. They no longer need a president who represents them as wanting to stay in, what is obviously a strategically doomed mission. There can't be a single military mind/strategist who believes we will win a war against an unseen enemy.
Well I have spent enough time on all of that... now I'll update on my current status.
I am working hard for my coming collegiate foray... and working hard to be the best father the world has ever seen. Damien and I are closer than ever... and I'm having a hell of a fun time(don't know about him, but sure seems that way). We are getting ever closer to him being potty trained, being able to read, and him being able to write. He can already observe and interact with his environment... He is quite verbal.. speaking in full and proper sentences. He is beginning to understand perspectives, tenses, plurals, and possessives. Hes a genius... He brightens my day like no other... and I am loving my time with him.
Well I must go... I wish everyone good luck, good health, and good karma. Adieu.
PS
If you are a Windows OS user, whether it be XP, 98, ME, or whatever, you should try Litestep. Its a shell replacement with quite a few visual styles you can choose from and download. It isn't for people who can't read though... as you will need to use this website in order to properly install it. I recommend going to the later website first before going to theh actually Litestep one. I like this shell replacement a great deal and find its versatility pleasing. Read all documentation thoroughly before using though... Thanks for the time.
