I've been thinking about marriage a lot lately. I guess because I have no clue as to what I'm supposed to do with my life, I think more about it. We learned about Hosea and Gomer Sunday night. They were... interesting. See, gomer was (looks both ways and drops voice to stage whisper) a prostitute. But God said, "Go again, love a woman who is loved by a lover and is commiting adultry, just like the love of the Lord for the children of Isreal, who look to other gods and love the raisin cakes of the pagans." (Hosea 3:1) So, Hosea went and bought her. Sure she ran, but he followed because he loved her. God also does this. We, like Gomer, run, but He follows because He loves us. Marriage, a sacred union between man and woman. I don't know about you, but I want a man like Hosea.
