It snowed on Wednesday. First time this year. It was even cold enough for them to start blowing snow at the ski area; they're planning to open on Friday. All of this makes me extremely happy and causes me to flap my arms in excitement.
The melting and warm temperatures that occured Friday night and yesterday and continue today are having the opposite effect. Last night I was a bit depressed about the whole thing because I really want to go skiing. One of my coworkers tried to cheer me up but there's really nothing that can be done -- short of making it snow of course. At least that's what I thought until he brought me a snowman. It was about eight inches high and as the night progressed had more and more decorations. Ketchup eyes and mouth, lettuce hat and scarf, frill toothpick arms. It was great. It's currently living in one of the freezers at work so my mom can see it tomorrow. Perhaps I can keep it indefinitely.
