Olga P. Ramey Age 92, a resident of Tacoma, passed away November 21, 2007 surrounded by her family. She was born September 27, 1915, to Johan and Oline Andestad, who emigrated from Norway in the early 1900's. Olga was raised on her father's farm in Cromwell, Washington. My grandma passed away last night around 11. We all piled in the car and drove to Hospice House. We got there around 12:30. I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't to walk in the room and have grandma's body laying there (I really should have expected it but it didn't even cross my mind). My grandmother managed to make it thought the weekend but its no longer any day now but any hour. She is in hospice care and hasn't had food or liquid in two days. They take a moist sponge and wet her mouth every once in a while. She's on morphine so she isn't in pain which is good. And incase this wasn't enough she has that super-staph ( Read more... )
