The Dragon and the Wolf - how it begun.
Today, dear readers (*laugh* do I even have those?), I'm going to tell you a little about my original characters. The ones I got my name from.
All this information because I just feel like it and because I can. *wink*
So; it all started with some stories I started writing when I was around 14 (heh, that was a while ago *laugh*). The stories was about a person that came to another world by mistake. (yeah; I've always been writing some kind of fantasy; it's easier with world were you are the one making all the rules *wink*) I think I wrote three complete and around five uncomplete stories with this person. And there was these side-characters that kept popping up all the time.
The first was Ches (which meant 'light' in the language I made up for this world. *sweatdrop*) and he was from the people who worshipped the Sun. He was blond; like golden-blond, and had sky blue eyes. He was a light person; quite positive.
The other one was Semon (which meant 'star' in that language) and he was one of the people who worshipped the stars. He had black hair and eyes. He was a bit more broody but smart.
Thing is; they were always fighting. In those stories they never really got the chance to like each other. They were just side-characters that happened to appear a lot; bit still just on the side. I never truly developed them; which I now thought was a shame.
Anyway. Then came my long writer's block and a lot happened in my life. For example; I truly realized that I was bi. So now; so many years after when I picked up the pencil (ahem; word-document) again I wanted to write something about two boys falling in love. After much thinking I realized that I had these two. Two side-characters I had regretted that I never developed. So here was my chance. What if I would make them the main-characters? Of course I would change them a lot, and also put them in a totally new environment and with totally new characters around them.
That's how it started. I came up with a new world; much more like our than the one I used as a 14-year old *snicker*, and gave them new names, families and friends. I also gave them a Guardian.
The idea was that they would meet; become enemies and then friends and finally lovers. Something would happen so that they died together. They souls can't rest in peace and their Guardian (yes; she is somewhat supernatural, she's watching souls - especially theirs) comes throught with that their souls is to be bound together. That means they will meet in all their lives to comes; but it's also up to them to decide in that life what they will become to each other in each life.
It's complicated and the first story that kind of tells how it all works is only written in swedish so far. It's so cliché I'm ashamed! *laugh* But the other stories are a lot of fun. They're very different from each other. I write on a lot of them at the moment and I just get more and more ideas.
Now I have to pack some more. I'm moving in five days. But believe me; you will hear more of those two! *laugh and winks*
