This is quite possibly one of the best poems I have EVER written.
That Girl
She's your eye-catching arm candy
Who drinks entirely too much when you take her out,
And is very grateful that you hold her hair back
When she blows chunks in your bathroom the next day.
The girl you feel compelled to take care of
When she's hungover at your apartment Sunday morning,
And owes you big time for this one.
The girl who takes you out for your 20th birthday
And embarrasses you in front of a table full of strangers...
The one who sings 'happy birthday' the loudest,
And cuddles up close for the stupid Polaroid
That you, for some reason, keep next to your bed.
The girl who calls you and begs to be retrieved from the Globe...
And you agree, knowing damn right well
She'll be high as a kite by the time you get there,
And all she'll want to do is tell you all the things
You never wanted to know about her exs.
The girl who constantly craves physical attention,
Who demands to be cuddled with,
And adores you for complying.
The artificial eyebrowed makeup nazi & glitter whore
Who gets on her bruised knees for no one but you...
Smearing eyebrow and glittery eyeshadow everywhere.
The girl who stares deep inside your eyes,
As you're deep inside of her...
And always rubs your back too hard.
The one who would sever an appendage to belong to you,
And accepts that she must wait...
Faithfully standing beside you
Until the stars fall to earth,
Or the apocalypse really happens.
