Ramen Rant
So today I had ramen in Little Tokyo. I wanted to go to Daikokuya, the best place I've had ramen so far in Los Angeles, but alas, it wasn't open. So instead, I walked down the street to a place called Mr. Ramen. Yeah, really, with a name so cheesy, I wasn't expecting much. I'd been there before and the service was absolutely terrible. Well, I like it a smidge more today, but maybe because I was had a serious ramen craving (especially after reading all the fanfic that includes Naruto and Ichiraku). I had my usual tonkotsu ramen (which one day I will learn how to make) and it eased the craving a bit. Really though, nothing hits the spot like kuro ramen. I've only ever had it in one place before (in NorCal) and nothing has come close to it. I can't wait until I can go back home and get a nice steaming bowl of it. I think I might have to go back to Daikokuya just so I can truly satisfy the craving. Does that ever happen to you? Sometimes I crave things and they'll haunt me for weeks until I get exactly what I want. I think ramen might be one of those things...
