It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to!
Wheee! 20! How anti-climatic! It's all good though, it's been an awesome last few days - probably a good thing too because I've been a bit down recently. Ever since the trip to London, I started getting a bit homesick, which is weird for me because I hardly ever get homesick! But yeah I think it was just the huge amounts of deadlines and stuff, I was spending most of my days at Uni and so I hardly ever got to see my housemates all that much and I knew they thought I was working too hard and was probably being a bit boring. To make it worse I was getting seriously worried about me and my housemate Rob because we were having quite a few little arguments and I was starting to think we just didn't get on and eventually convinced myself that he hated me...but then the next day he came into my room, gave me a hug and a kiss, we had a chat and went out for lunch and spent the whole day together in town and the whole 'we don't get on thing' was a big fat lie!
Anywaaay...why has it been such a great weekend? Well, Saturday spent the whole day in town with Jen, Liz and Rob shopping and messing about, Saturday night went out on a girls night out - first to the Bowling Green, where we got tonnes of free drinks because Rob works behind the bar so he undercharges us and gives us triples instead of singles...then to the Amber Rooms, which do the nicest cocktails in the world (best screaming orgasm I've had for years!) and which I generally love! Then came home and chilled out with Nigel and his mates from home which was cool coz it seems like I never spend time with Nige anymore. Then at around 3 in the morning, Jake came round and stayed the night which on one hand I'm happy about but also kinda pissed off with him for because we had decided to just be friends so I don't see why he has to go and ruin that...stupid boy! Sunday - spent the whole day food shopping for our X-mas dinner which we had last night...ahh it was SO lovely! Me and Jen went crazy decorating the house and prettying up the dinner table and sorting out Christmas music and the boys cooked us the loveliest dinner ever! They were on a mission to spoil us, they told us to go and get ready, and when we came downstairs they were all dressed up holding glasses of wine for us and going "Have a seat ladies...dinner is served!" - I love those guys so much! BEST DINNER EVER!
Then this morning I was woken up by Rob...who had made me a birthday breakfast in bed! How incredibly adorable is that?! And I thought he hated me...I'm such an arse! And even though I'd told my friends that I really didn't want to do anything for my birthday, on my breakfast tray was an invitation to a dinner party they're having for me tonight! Jenny's planning on baking this really elaborate super-chocolatey cake and everything! My friends are fucking awesome! x
