I'm with you on the Will/Jack. The show dropped off my priority list after the first couple of seasons, but that would definitely put it back on.

Network concerns placed such a clear we-must-never-go-there barrier between Will and Jack at the start of the series that it creates a definite slashy tension between them...even though the characters are canonically gay. To end the series by breaking that barrier would be so perfect--a testament to how much the show itself has succeeded in gently-but-persistently pushing the boundaries of network television.
