Intermezzi Prima: First week in town is the roughest, right?

Apr 20, 2011 17:14

Well, maybe not a full week, but there were a lot of things to assimilate before breakfast that first day, and then it just got weirder the longer she was looking around. So of course Ilsa falls back on her comfort zone.

A: The Library, morning
Ilsa is actually wanting to see what they have in the culinary section, odd as it may seem to everyone. She has a notebook, and is making a grocery list, with additional attention being paid to milk substitutes.

B: The grocery store, late morning
Her cart has the average selections of foodstuffs, save for one omission. She is in front of the dairy case, staring intently.

C: 1490 Kramden Rd, late afternoon
The windows are open, and she’s been cooking since noon. Vegans might be turned off from the scent of the pot roast, but otherwise, it's probably smelling pretty good by 5:00.
There is also the scent of lots of butter and chocolate in the air - she's been busy.
