I'm still up for it :) If I come up with any ideas I'll post them here. I'll mull this over while I do laundry and while I'm at work (chances are I'll have to sit with at least one patient again for a good chunk of the night).

Well I did some thinking while I got stuck "elder-sitting" (I had 3 patients sitting with me, all of whom needed someone next to them to redirect and watch them closely).

I had toyed with making Jabrill the guilty party but with everything else it doesn't fit right now. Why would he bother fixing things?

I notice you had tried to get the Rani... has she "departed for deeper waters" as well?

I'm wondering if there should be someone new who we haven't seen yet... or maybe ignored like "the lanky individual with the bullhorn" who was seen on the roof (x-many chapters ago)

Just a few ideas I thought about in between trying to keep all 3 patients safe, among other things.

I'm home sick today so if I get a good brainstorm going I will add.

Wow... what a job that must be.

I agree: the story flows better if Jabrill is a good guy.

Yeah, haven't heard from the Rani in ages. It's too bad; she would have been the perfect villainess for this kind of plot.

That's definitely an idea -- I'd completely forgotten about him. *grins* There was also an NPC on the first timeline thread (Emma Jeserik or something like that) who was acting very odd and may not have been hypnotized -- maybe she could be a henchwoman.

Well, I'm going to wait a bit more for Rose (hope she's still with us) and we'll all go from there. I hope you feel better!

Thanks. I've been fighting this bug since the 6th. I finally went to my doc and she put me on some antibiotics. I still feel lousy but at least this should help me heal.

I haven't come up with any new ideas while I've been resting, though Emma Jeserik being at the very least involved with this mess seems a likely scenario. I'd almost forgotten her.

I hope Rose chimes in soon.

Looks like we've lost our Rose after all, so let's just move along and take the rest of the story as it comes. ^_^;

I'm still interested in finishing our thread and in seeing if any com will take an OC. I do know there is a crossover com seeking a Ninth Doctor Dawning_night is the com but I'm not sure how they will feel about my OC. I'm currently running a version of Claude over there. I only mention it as you make a fantastic Nine and I was concerned about you getting bored even if they don't want my OC.

Also, today I head off for Arisia, but I'm commuting to and from the convention and I will be checking in on my computer late night early am.

Incidentally, work has been bloody awful, and it's good to have a break.

*tired smile* Oops, I hadn't realized it was my turn..... sorry! Not bored, it's just that rl has kicked me in the gut lately and I kept trying to ignore it and pretend it would go away. I'm going to have to take a hiatus from my other game too next week. On top of everything else I'm in the middle of applying for law school and the paperwork is killing my brain. I also want to finish our thread, but I'm afraid it can't happen this minute.

Will look up dawning_night when I get a chance. Thanks so much for the compliment -- the Ninth Doctor's a special character to me. I want to make sure I'm still up to writing him at the level he deserves before relaunching the muse.

Have a great time at Arisia! I've never been to one, but there's nothing like a good con to wake up the braincells. :) Sorry to hear that the job's been like that. I hope it goes better in the future.

No rush with the thread, just worried you might be bored. I hope it all works out for you in RL. I've got my comp mostly working and retrieved 90% of what went *bork* and I've got a backup external drive on as well and a new HD supposed to be shipped to replace the one which crapped out on me. At some point I'm planning to archive some stuff to CD/DVD. Yeah I'm paranoid after having this happen to me more than once.

Too bad you can't come to Arisia, maybe next year. This is the first one in a long time that I'm commuting to and not staying at. I got sick of folks that barely know me storing stuff in my room and hanging out just cause they felt like it. I felt like I had no space. It may be a haul but at least I will have space.

Multiple backups are definitely win. Great that you got most of your stuff back!

Yeah, so far I've only gone to little cons, like Readercon, which is mostly for books. Can't afford vacations, orz.

'ello. I noticed that your current adventure seems to be frozen. While it could be this "real life" I've 'eard so much about 'as reared it's ugly 'ead again, I just reckoned I ought to mention that dawning_night (and dawningnightooc) 'ave just 'ad a reset and didn't know if you were interested in 'aving a run in with an invisible bloke who looks just a bit like yourself to say nothing of what's likely to 'appen when some folks that know a version of you run into me.

Oh, just GREAT!! It's that mun of mine, she can't keep track of whose turn it is to comment... *aside* Get out of it, woman, you know you should have checked! An' she's out o' town, but will be back next week with more time an' net access. So. Just a bit, you say? The important bits, I hope.

An' what's this "reset" when it's at home?

[[I.e. egad, mea culpa! *dashes off to comment* And heh, it would be awesome for Claude to meet the Ninth Doctor. I'll look into it!]]

My mun was talking with one of the mods over there and they said they'd have to see an application but thought that I might be allowed over there as well. Which could be fun, though I can imagine the confusion ensuing with me running into Mr. Rains.

[[even if this OC isn't allowed, I still have Claude over there. As for the reset, a bunch of players left and it kinda messed up the existing timeline so a bunch of things got retconed, including an existing thread with Peter and Claude. The back story is on the community info page and they're allowing more than one Doctor. They even have paradox rules though I'm not sure what would happen if you Doctor runs into his future incarnation. Running into Claude would just be amusing and not a paradox.]]

*waves hands* Well, then, go on, wotcha waitin' for? Go to the mods! This Raines person sounds like he needs to be kept out of trouble.

'Course it'll be fun. Isn't it always?

[[True! AUGH, I hate it when that happens -- it did a few months ago in my other game and all my character timelines were in TATTERS.... */vents* Anyway, I recall liking the idea of that comm, though I still don't know much about Torchwood and less about Heroes. (Who's Peter?) But the Ninth running into Claude would indeed be highly amusing. What's a good Claude episode? I'd love to see the Invisible Man in action!]]

Eigh Up, Doctor. *smiles* Not sure if you play anymore but if crossover comms don't bother you there's always: http://community.livejournal.com/ooc_shadesgray/ That's the OOC comm for http://rp-shadesofgray.livejournal.com/. I've been over there a few years. We had a Captain Jack at one point but he seems to have left and several other folks from various fandoms. If you're after somethin' a bit more whimsical there's http://thecompanyredux.livejournal.com/ and http://companyreduxooc.livejournal.com/ is the OOC com there. Picture multiverses meets MIB. Haven't seen any doctors in either of the comms and as I recall you're a fantastic 9. I also reckon the two of us meetin' in game should be rather amusin'. Even if you don't give either of these a go, it was was nice readin' your adventures. Cheers.

~Claude
