About halfway through the book i realized something. I never want to see the movie in the theater. Deathly Hollows is entirely too good a book to ever make a successful translation to film. This is hands down the best of the series. Without going into spoilers, the book was both predictable in some regards, and completely surprising in others. Rowling did a truly superb job of bringing together the strands not just of the story in this book, but throughout the series to have not a mere rope, but a chord that was definitely more than the some of its parts.

Excellent read.
