So... I'm going round two with the flu. Picked up a different strain off my grandparents (which they apparently got from the potting mix).
I'm also unemployed again. Got a call from the recruitment agency on Thursday asking if I wanted to be put forward for a three month bit with NIB which would have started yesterday. All was going awsomely until later on Friday arvo I got a message from them saying NIB didn't want me. WTF? It's a three month bit, after that you get your crappy permanent bitch back. Make do with what the temp agency's got, damnit!
Have had to go shoe shopping again (oh how I hate it!). My current work shoes that I wear everywhere not just at work are starting to wear a bit and don't look quite good enough for work anymore. So after I broke the woman who has been fitting shoes for the past 30 odd years (forced my foot into every possible shoe in the shop and still had none that were good enough) they finally admitted they could order in the same shoes that I already have. So I can get them on Thursday.
Caught up with Terry over the weekend before he buggers off to the Navy. Bad idea to take me shopping, even when I'm sick and unenthusiastic. Resulted in three Paullina Simons books I've had my eye on (half price), and a dressing gown from BNT for $20 as opposed to $50. Soft and fluffy and warm!
Also took my grandma to Borders yesterday, and then off to find her a pair of shoes. And then I got home and died with the awful flu and was asleep from 3:30 onwards.
Appart from when I got woken up by a candle whacking me in the face. Seriously, either have rats or rather large/strong mice in my room. That candleabra is heavy, and doesn't fall down on it's own accord.
Oh, and my brother with his fascination of flushing my things down the toilet? Have noticed recently I apparently need to take better care of my jewellery. Shutting it all away doesn't stop him opening things and taking a bracelet and a bag containing ten pendants (including one of mums) and sending them to the sewerage plant.
Now I'm off to start assignments that are due tomorrow, and also to run resumes up to Hexham.
