Just finished playing Mass Effect 3... Luckily, I downloaded the Extended Cut DLC beforehand, so never had to experience the disappointment people were raging about over the original ending. :D
No spoilers here! But I will say this - that game made me cry like a bitch. ;___; It's the fucking soundtrack! That sad piano or violin coupled with so many damn poignant scenes just... Gah!! >_< Again, no spoilers, but I really loved the extended cut ending (the original WOULD have been a serious let down, I'll admit).
SOME SPOILERS HERE!
However, a part of me does feel that the ending would have been just as powerful if there weren't any last-minute big choices on how to use the Crucible. If it just ended with Shepard sitting next to Anderson, the Crucible automatically does whatever it's supposed to do, and they both die by each others side. But like I said, I did love the actual extended ending - it's just whenever I see the scene with Shepard and Anderson, a part of me wishes it ended there... Probably on account of the music again. ;_; Every damn time I listen to it I choke up.

Don't know if anyone here plays the games, but I just felt the need to share some thoughts. :P Feel free to disregard this if you've no clue what I'm nattering on about!
