Nostalgia!! x3

I have it. <3 *snuggles it tight*

So yes! I took my younger brother to go see The Lion King in 3D today. Now he'd be pretty good in comparison to most kids his age when it comes to appreciating Disney classics - he's watched Aladdin, Beaty and the Beast, and even Dumbo. But never The Lion King! So, this struck me as the perfect opportunity to introduce him to it... And to my delight, it went down wonderfully!! *dances* Suffice it to say, Timon and Pumbaa were his favorites - he always has a soft spot for the comic relief characters. XD

I was actually seriously surprised at how much I enjoyed it too! Don't get me wrong - I fucking LOVE The Lion King. I just HATE 3D, and was sure that it would take so much from the movies original quality. Though to be honest, aside from the added chills it gave me during The Circle of Life opening, I pretty much forgot it was in 3D after a while. :/ Which is good I suppose... Better to forget it's there, than for it to ruin the whole experience.

And it was really something seeing it on the big screen again! I was like... four or five when it was first came out in cinemas over here. God, it was so awesome. <3

Also. OH. MY. GOD. Guys. ;A; Mufasa's scene where he... I cried. I cried my eyes out. ;__; I really didn't think I would, considering I knew exactly what would happen, and had already seen it happen god knows how many times on TV and VHS. But I fucking CRIED!! ;__; MORE than I did for Toy Story 3. I swear, I was almost audibly sobbing. Just the whole atmosphere... Simba, the music, the whole thing. *sniffles* And for like... five minutes after that, even while the movie progressed, I was still trying to get myself to stop crying! Cripes, thank goodness my brother was too immersed in the movie and his popcorn to notice. :S

Lastly. Oh Scar... You are the most sophisticated asshole of a megalomaniac ever. And I love you. <3 I swear, that dude takes to the big screen so damn well. His expressions, actions, dialogue - his whole manner is just so incredibly charming and slimy at the same time. One of the best Disney villains EVAH! :3

And one thing I noticed in the cinema that I thought was pretty funny, was the amount of parents and couples that seemed to take their kids to go see it, then turn to them the second it ended and ask "so what did you think?!" XD LOL

awesomesauce, movies, squee, disney
