things i am stressed out about

my bridesmaid dress has finally arrived 3 and a half months later.. and it no longer fits me! any suggestions for losing some weight FAST [like in less than 10 days] are more than welcome. i am hungry and had better get used to it.

i still have not received my paperwork from uni that i need to send off in my application for my visa. i still haven't completely sorted out all the finances either. i need that paperwork to send off in my visa application as well. banks really piss me off. i leave 3 weeks from tomorrow. STRESS O'CLOCK.

my computer power supply up and died on me a couple weeks ago. it will still be another couple of weeks before the new one comes in. add to that my external hard drive that died on me in june with all my digital photos and videos on it and you have one girl who is awfully pissed off at technology.

i still can not decide on a pair of shoes to go with my dress for the wedding. yeah, that's not too stressful, but i just want everything sorted.

choosing to fly to montreal for one night so i can see radiohead in the middle of the busiest week of my summer, especially when i have so many things up in the air, was probably the dumbest decision i've made in recent times.

i was mega-stressed about something else over the weekend but that worked itself out this afternoon, thank goodness.

things that make all of this tolerable

jim nunn. if the picture works with the sound you will see what will surely be the highlight of my week in antigonish [if you watch this before the next newscast]. oh bed bugs.

i've been spending my weekends in halifax with old and new friends, seeing some great gigs [deerhoof!], eating great food [had awesome sushi for the first time!], relaxing at a beautiful home on a lake [with a bonfire and fireworks!], drinking cold beer on hot july afternoons [on balconies and at lakes!], and smoothies [and cuddles!] in bed. it's a rough life i tell ya...

my time in antigonish is usually spent with lisa at the beach, in the pool, eating garlic fingers [no more for me!], and drinking margaritas. a load of my aunts, uncles, and cousins will be arriving into town over the next few weeks so i will have lots of folk to beach and cottage it up with while i'm here in town. really it's not such a bad life either.

this weekend i will get to see vikings with the establishment [and sleepless nights too]! i was supposed to see vikings and the establishment in december the night before i flew back to scotland, but shit went down at the attic and they postponed the show for a night, so i missed it. they played together in march shortly after i returned to canada. i was so excited to get to see the gig but i got so sick i couldn't move out of bed let alone get on a bus and go to halifax for a rock show. so, third time's a charm, right?

there is a bowling cd release party for sleepless nights on monday evening as well which should be all kinds of fun. we had a bowling night a few weeks ago and 21 of us showed up and had a blast, so this should be great!

tuesday is lisa's bachelorette party which will be a gong show of the best kind for sure. the next morning i get on a flight at 6:30am [ahhhhhh] and fly to montreal to see radiohead and catch up with many friends! the following morning i fly back to halifax and head to antigonish for the wedding rehearsal. friday is lisa's big day and our friend josh who we haven't seen since 2003 is flying in for the weekend to attend!

i'm glad i finished this off with the positives. i think i'm going to go for a 2am swim and head to bed and cross my fingers for all sorts of paperwork to show up in the morning!
