well that just sucks
remember how only 3 short days ago i was expressing my disappointment in being midway through my time in glasgow? yeah well, that time frame has now fast-forwarded to just about completely done.
i showed up to work today and it was just like any other ordinary monday. then at about 10:30am the gm asked me to come into his office. i walked in and the hr manager was in there as well. they informed me that head office does a monthly audit on it's employees and it was discovered friday night that i am no longer able to work in scotland. turns out all the months in edinburgh where i was just barely working but technically employed counted as full time employment against my time available on my visa.
so this is it. today was my last day employed in scotland. my rent is paid til the end of the month. after that i don't know what the hell i'm going to do. my mom suggested looking into being a nanny; maybe i could find myself a cash paying job like that. but it's just so fucking frustrating. i was just getting settled into my new position. i like where i'm living. i am looking forward to lots of upcoming events in the next few months. and bam. ripped away from me in one quick chat.
i don't know what the hell i'm going to do but i need to figure it out damn fast. if i am going back to canada i have tickets for a bunch of really awesome gigs for sale!
and if anyone has any tips of cash paying jobs in this town, SEND EM MY WAY!!!!
