Good eeeevening creepies! This is my first post, after months of floating about :P

So...

I've always been interested in history, and when I came across an article about THIS infamous woman, I got really interested and wanted to find out more, as not that much is known about her in great detail:

Countess Elizabeth Báthory ( or Erzsébet Báthory in native Hungarian) has, according to many sources, been labeled as the most prolific female serial killer in history, nicknamed "the Blood Countess" due to the torture and murders of hundreds of girls and young women in the 15-1600's, and bathing in the blood of virgins to "retain her youth". 600 victims suffered by her hand, even though she was only convicted of 80.

There's not much evidence about her crimes in detail, but to be called "most prolific female serial killer in history", it can't be pleasant. At all.

Your thoughts?

murder / murderers / serial killers, true crime, people: authors / celebs / characters, folklore / myths / urban legends
