Hillary Clinton 'Overweight,' Author Ed Klein Tells Fox News

Jun 07, 2012 07:34

For some, when U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Bangladesh in early May, the country's human rights record wasn't the top news. Nor was her speech on the recent tensions within the country.

Instead, the Drudge Report splashed a photo of Clinton's makeup-free face, calling her "au natural," as she merely sported black framed glasses ( Read more... )

Hilary Clinton is human. Just like everyone else. And she's...an older woman. Her weight is gonna shift.
A lot of people battle weight issues. This just makes her human, like everyone else.
And. I think people need to keep their noses out of other people's weight issues.
I don't care how much Hilary Clinton weighs. That's her business. Not the publics.
This goes for all celebrities and anyone else we watch for entertainment.

Ed Klein is also the same scumbag who has questioned Hillary Clinton's sexual orientation and promotes the conspiracy theory that Bill raped her (and that Chelsea was born from said rape).

And I like how these conservatives love policing Hillary and Michelle Obama's weight, but they don't say a damn thing about Chris Christie, but then, he's a man and a Republican, so he gets a free pass.

Yeah, in a book he wrote in 2005, called: "The Truth About Hillary -- What She Knew, When She Knew It and How Far She'll Go To Become President."

He claims that Bill raped Hillary while they were vacationing in Bermuda, and she became pregnant with Chelsea as a result. Klein's only evidence is a pair of unnamed people who claim that Bill told them what he had done.

Yep! Just like all those people going "I'm not racist, but--". My reaction is usually something along the lines of "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT THE FUCK UP".

I'm reminded of an episode of Doctor Who where the PM (female) did something to piss off the Doctor and he just turns around and says to a journalist, "don't you think she looks tired..." and it kills her career. :/

The saddest part about all of this is there are plenty of other things you could be doing to further political discourse - the best thing you could think of to criticize Clinton was talk about her appearance? Not only is it sexist, it's just plain lazy. I guess I shouldn't expect much from Fox News, though...

Yep, but you know they were saying the same about a local female politician recently in my area, teh same thing 'she looks tired' and I was like yeah, no. Grrr. It's so loaded.

At the time that I watched that episode, it didn't bother me at all, but now I'm very :/ about it. I don't think they would have used that same line with a male PM.

That's still the one DW line that pisses me off more than any other tbh.
