Next up, hyperlinks are infringement too because you're distributing content by showing it to people. And you better not play any of your MP3s or CDs within earshot of someone else who didn't buy the songs too.

I ran a student group when I was at college, and we couldn't show movies during club activities without having some kind of license so... apparently, it is. :/

Yep. Same thing applies to showing a movie in class. There's some kind of sweet spot for educational fair use, but it's not much.
