I'm rather curious what the criteria is. Are single men and single women considered equally qualified?

Equally qualified as the other I mean. I've heard people argue in favor of single women over single men.

Reading back, I see what you mean.

Ehh, I don't think you could put a generalization on which gender should have preference. Honestly, a case by case basis would better fit, wouldn't it?
