How the hell do chaplains' first amendment rights get impinged by this?
They are still free to be virulent homophobes. They are not free to manifest this homophobia when doing their jobs if they want to keep them.
Same with someone who thinks that birth control is a sin. They're free to work as a pharmacist, but if they refuse to dispense birth control because of their superstitions, show their ass the door.
