Unfortunately, in the West, those extremists largely don't have a state sponsorship.

I've noticed in the West it tends to be that moderates are in secular power, whereas in Israel it's the far far far right that does.

Let's see. In the US, there's never been a president that isn't Christian and doesn't mentioned God in his speeches. In Israel, there has never been a religious prime minister.

Bingo. I am never, ever going to rid myself of incredible amounts of bias on this issue, so I am just going to shut up and never talk about it. But I've had relatives have a fit over my not taking "my" Birthright trip.
