I have to admit I teared up a little at the desk thing and I'm not entirely sure why...

I hate looking at stuff like this. It makes it hard for me to not be all :-) when I want to be like :-|.

The President looks like a genuinely nice guy and his wife and kids look like great people. They look like friendly people; it helps a great deal to know that the mother and father have a pretty egalitarian relationship and they're both competent as shit.

I'd like for this to become the standard style of relationship for kids to go for. But now I'm beginning to wax poetic in my old age.
