I love how Hugh fucking Hewitt told him that wasn't true and Trump continued to disagree and stand his ground. And I'm no Hugh Hewitt fan.

Hewitt is garbage though he was like "Oh I know that isn't what you meant, THIS is what you actually meant". It's just that Trump is so dumb he couldn't even see the giant out he was being given and take it.

Right, exactly. It just made me laugh that a crusty conservative won't even go that far and Trump can't take a hint.

Love that he cries media bias when the headlines aren't as bad as his actual quotes. And then when you go further and watch the video for the full context it's even worse. I think when Trump does shit like this is the only time I don't mind articles having videos set on auto play because people need to see this shit.

It actually feels like we've come full circle -- as though this is the singular reason Trump ran for president to begin with: to childishly troll Obama on a bigger platform than Twitter.

Back when he started tweeting this shit (stressing "Hussein", asking about birth certificates, calling him a Seekrit Muslim), people snorted, rolled their eyes, and dismissed him.

But then OBAMA publicly snorted, rolled his eyes, and dismissed Trump at the 2011 White House Correspondence Dinner.

So...the sitting POTUS coolly mocked Trump by saying things, to Trump's face, that prominent people around him mostly just *thought* privately when it came to Trump's "brand" -- that his political input was inconsequential because he's so painfully corny/ostentatious. And all in a tone of "LOL, that's President Hussein to you, buddy ( ... )

Darn, I wish that footage of Trump wasn't so dark. I would love to be able to see the expression on his face more clearly. His displeasure was obvious, even in the dark, though.

And ONCE AGAIN

LOST in the brouhaha over his idiotic dogwhistle slander is the fact that he is attacking someone for a position that he originally virulently supported.

TBAG is on record as wanting the withdrawl and not giving a fuck about the aftermath.

(Quoting from the article linked to buzzfeed ...)

But lost in Trump’s immediate comments is that, for years, he pushed passionately and forcefully for the same immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq. In interview after interview in the later 2000s, Trump said American forces should be removed from Iraq.

“First, I’d get out of Iraq right now,” Trump said to British GQ in a 2008 interview. “And by the way, I am the greatest hawk who ever lived, a far greater hawk even than Bush. I am the most militant military human being who ever lived. I’d rebuild our military arsenal, and make sure we had the finest weapons in the world. Because countries such as Russia have no respect for us, they laugh at us. Look at what happened in Georgia, a place we were supposed to be ( ... )
