well tbh i don't know what a trump presidency will look like so i can't say if he's going to be just as bad as trump. does trump really mean to introduce things into policy like building that wall, banning muslims from entering, etc? or is that just rhetoric he is using to rally up his racist, xenophobic base and playing them like a fiddle? idk and tbh he will never be president. you don't get elected with a 70%+ unfavourably rating with women

thank you for this comment, this is exactly how i feel. i'm still forever bitter about senate bill 5 and i'm surprised it hasn't come up more during his candidacy.

yes omg i remember that. i haven't heard a thing about it. it's incredibly frustrating. it's like the outrageous things trump SAYS outweigh the outrageous things cruz and kasich have actually DONE. not to say that trump's rhetoric is not poisonous and dangerous, but because of the way he presents himself and the way the republican establishment feigns outrage over it (even though he only says BLUNTLY what they've been insinuating and enacting for years) has made the media portray cruz & kasich as some sort of moderate saviours. and as a result, there is little examination of their record because we're all too busy talking about memes trump has retweeted

I'd forgotten about the binders. It put me in mind of the SFWA explosion when two well-known male authors commented on "lady editors" and segued into how hot they were (with pretty much no comment about their work) in a column published in SFWA's professional magazine. I swear "lady -anything-" is going to make me think of that for a long time.
