Oh, man. I remember how much flack she got for the dumbest things, rather than focusing on her as an actual political candidate and lawmaker. Whether she looks young, or pretty, or how fashionable she is has absolutely nothing to do with her abilities or qualifications.
And of course, the classic "women are bossy and men are LEADERS!" double standard.
My boss has been on my back for not wearing makeup and wearing scrunchees (both of which Hillary has done proudly). I am totally going to make a joke about how I'm emulating Hillary Clinton, because she's always been fabulous.
And the sad thing about if she decides to run again is that the double standard and sexism will more an likely be 10x worse than the last time she ran.
Ugh, 2016 election gives me such anxiety and it's not even here yet.
