What the bloody hell? Waiting for a school bus while black is a crime? (and male, Don't forget male because we all know black males ate the most "dangerous". Just like Treyvon Martin was dangerous.) Why do I suspect that the store owner's complaints to the police really "i see black men outside my store" not "people loitering and fighting in front of the store". Oh, yeah, it's because I'm cynical.

Don't forget, too, that many of these for-profit prisons have contracts that require certain occupancy rates (80-90% for example) which puts puts pressure on the courts and police to find warm bodies to meet the contract.

There were 17 other witnesses who didn't get arrested. Let me guess, they were white.

Edison Tech is predominantly African-American, so I'd be willing to bet that most (if not all) of the remaining 17 students were black as well. From another article I read, it sounds as if these students were waiting in a different location, and the bus headed to the scrimmage (containing the coach and other 17 problems) stopped by to pick these 3 up. The other article also says that the other students watched this all unfold from the bus.

Jfc, what were they arrested for, other than existing while black? This is really disgusting and shameful.

If there were 20 kids waiting for the school bus together, and only 3 of them got arrested...why did the police pick those three kids and not the 17 others?

Oh, wait. Let me guess.

Fuck the police. And they want to know why we run and get nervous even when we haven't done anything? Because not doing anything isn't even protection enough to keep us from getting chased, groped, arrested, booked, sometimes convicted.

I want to know what their reasons are behind singling out those 3, as well.

Likely because they were only black students out of the 20 there.

Come on, Rochester, stop shaming our state.

SOmetimes I think the only thing that keeps cops from shooting me is they think all Asians will bust out the kung fu and deflect the bullet back to them.
