Jewish Woman Brutally Murdered in Iran

A Jewish woman was murdered by Muslim extremists in the Iranian city of Esfahan, the Israeli media is reporting. The victim was 56, and it appears the reason for the murder is an ongoing effort to take over the family home by an adjacent mosque.

I waited for some time to see if there will be some comments, but no- nobody interesting in this suppose because she was Jew.

No, generally people aren't interested (as much as other similar stories) in this community, because it didn't happen in America. Pay attention.

yeah, articles on events outside of the US (or the UK or Canada, since we have a lot of British and Canadian members as well) often don't get a lot of comments

no it's not the reason- because when was the Israel operation in Palestine here were a lot of comments with hate toward Israel.

The I/P conflict posts are more an exception than a rule. And a lot of the reason for large number of comments in those posts is because of a handful of people, yourself included, making lots and lots of comments that stir up controversy. On the whole though, international stories don't generate a lot of comments. Look at the tags for individual countries. Posts on say, Syria, don't generate a lot of comments.

Posts on say, Syria, don't generate a lot of comments. Hell, even posts on events that take place in Australia, or New Zealand countries which are closer culturally to the United States don't get as much comments

I don't always comment on threads like this because...what is there to say? This is horrific? Her poor family? I hope there aren't any more attacks? Well, duh. That's kind of a given. It seems kind of hollow, somehow, and I don't have anything else to contribute to the discussion.

In such post there victims are not Jew usually are a lot of comments- with compassion to victim , with concern about the murderers, etc.

And here was none- what was concerned me.

By the way I think that most important concern for moderator would be bullying of the member in this community.

You didn't warn any members who posted offensive pictures and posts toward me.

It's fine by me - I am not yang and have good experience with internet forums.

BUT it seems that this is usual politic of treating members with different opinion in this community

so if I would be on your place I would worry that once it can trigger problem with young and vulnerable member - internet is full of stories about such problems even suicides due to internet bullying .

Gurl, if someone told you to self-harm or kill yourself, definitely send that to us and we will deal with it, because all I've seen so far is people calling you out on being biased or making untrue statements. If you equate not dissent with bullying, you're gonna have a really difficult time here.
