In Wednesday night's first presidential debate, Republican candidate Mitt Romney upset an unlikely...person?

"I'm sorry, Jim. I'm going to the stop the subsidy to PBS. I like Big Bird. I like you," Romney said.

Not only does Mr. Rogers make my tear up, but i love the respect he's being given by the chair, and the man's genuine interest.

I've never had the time to watch this before. He was so smart and articulate and compassionate and it all comes through. I'm so glad that he was one of my childhood heroes.
