I've said it once, and I'll say it again:

I believe that,

Jack will = new Smokey
Locke will = new Jacob

As a writer, I just have this hunch, so I can't really expand on it (and I'd trust the writers of LOST to have figured out a way) but really - this feels possible somehow, even with Locke being 'dead' (since we've seen how long people can die and then come back on this show before).

I could see that, for SURE. I've also been getting some Jack = future Jacob vibes, though, so my official theory is that it will be those two characters in those two roles, either way that could work out.

I think the Locke in altaverse is actually Flocke which is why he had that smirk when Sun was like "IT'S HIM!" as they were being wheeled into the hospital.

That's an interesting theory. I just don't understand how Sun would've known about Flocke in the Sideways world? (Even with the 'flashing' or whatever after traumatic events. Hmm).

Well, I would imagine that getting shot brings some of her island memories back to her. Maybe she was just freaking out because she's having flashbacks of all these random people, and then soon after she's seeing one of them in real life. Even without knowing it's Smokey.
