Michael Giacchino and Up Score Best Score Oscar
Jennifer Lopez, not showing any cleavage, and Sam Worthington, Hollywood's hottest action star, presented the Best Score Oscar at the 82nd Academy Awards. But before the winner was revealed the League of Extraordinary Dancers took part in a dramatic, high energy number showcasing each of the nominees. It was a spectacular segment and a much needed break from the dry acceptance speeches.
When all the dancing was done, it was Michael Giacchino who won the Best Score Academy Award for his fantastic work in the animataed family film Up. Accepting his first Oscar, Giacchino recalled that when he was just nine, he asked his father if he could have his old movie camera. That started off his movie-making career, and he was always encouraged from that moment on to follow his dream. And he now wants to encourage all kids who are not sure if it's possible, to follow their hearts and chase those dreams.
