Finally it happened, pyros on the pitch from Croatian fans in order for Croatian federation to get a fine, as was rumoured for days #Cro - Loïc Tregoures (@LTregoures) June 17, 2016
interesting if true. apparently they're unhappy with how their federation is being run, but this is still really stupid nonetheless

That's what they say, yes? After 2014, Italy has to state their case. So does England, tbh, but I'm more assured of an Italy result than an England one. Conte seems organised, and the defence and the goalie seem to know each other's style of play intimately. You don't get the feeling that Italian players freak at chances, whereas with England defence - we seem pretty spooked.
Casillas at Porto has thought me is that a lot can be said about Iker, but not that he lacks grace. at least outwardly, the guy's pure gentleman.
A year away from the unknown probably helped to humble Casillas a bit. But I've been impressed with how he's taken his sidelining so far. He's cheering the team, contributing to morale... #impressed
so much for safety in the stadiums if flares managed to pass through security; kinda scary.
It's ridic. Especially in light of what happened in Paris last year.

yes, that Juve back 4... like i said yesterday, as a Milanista i feel a little dirty for loving them so much, but i really really do. Gigi is quite simply one of the greatest things that's happened to football, ever; for instance, how great was this? and i'm *obsessed* with Bonucci as a player, he's simply one of the best center backs in the world.
re: Casillas, i agree. he could've grown jaded and bitter, but he didn't. kudos to him. and was it mentioned here that he and Sara recently had a 2nd kid?
Buffon tried the "swinging on the crossbar" post-match celebration again yesterday - this time he managed it, rather than falling off and crashing on his back. Man that age should have more sense.
aww that is too cute <3 edit - btw, they also mention a possible superstitious explanation for the gesture: ladybugs are considered to bring luck in italy, and friday the 17th is the italian equivalent of friday the 13th.
That photo is really awesome! Especially Buffon, haha.
Isn't it weird how different days count as unlucky ones around the world? I used to think Friday the 13th was universal, but in Spain it's Tuesday the 13th, for example.
I laughed so hard when I found that out because I was evicted from my house on Tuesday 13th because belgian taxes falsely thought we had a house in Spain we hadn't claimed.
I was seriously confused yesterday upon learning that Azpilicueta was Spanish. I'd always assumed he was from somewhere in South America, sounds Aztec-like.
I think the croatian kit thing is because they've been playing teams that all have red home and white away (poss other way around for czechs?), so Croatia are stuck in their blue away kit for the whole lot. It has the check pattern too, but much subtler. I like it, but I'm partly hoping they go through so we can see the proper kit at some point.

Yeah, I think I posted some pictures with himself and his partner and their new boy.

And on a rather cuter note, here is an Italian defender before the match, saving a ladybug from the pitch.

their 'official' celebration pic was nothing short of amazing though

now can they play Alderweirield and Vertonghen in their preferred positions they'll have a chance. They should have dropped Lukkaku for Origi, tbh.
