Well, it helps that spurs has a good manager who doesn't seem to play favourites. If you're not performing, he drops you. Pochettino isn't married to anyone, and after working on a shoe string budget at Espanyol I think the PL is easier in that way - the fact that he can buy players if he wants (instead of having to sell his better ones) and Poch believes in academy talent. Under him Kane and Ericsson are really coming into their own - Soldado is still Soldado - shame, that. But yeah, Spurs are defining themselves, I think once the players get wedded into Poch's system (he likes the high press, his team to look for other teams on the field, and is trying to knit a decent defence so that Illoris isn't doing so much work! But that's a work in progress), I think if Spurs get into the top four, I wouldn't be mad.

Which is another reason why I'm side eyeing van Gaal so hard. Manchester City because of their position have only played 20 games so far to the Spurs 30 games- and he's complaining? LvG, please.

I do hope that Tom Ford puts out a line of sunblock stuff and makes it cool and metrosexual, because if you're playing in the scorching son, it's going to tell on your skin soon enough.

How long has Pochettino been at Spurs? Correct me if I'm wrong, have Spurs been through quite a few managers in recent years?! Not sure if I'm thinking of the wrong team.

Oh you know LVG pisses me right off with his continuous moaning and pissy behaviour. Mou can get away with it, because he has a sense of humour too, which LVG just doesn't seem to possess any more, well since he has come to the PL. United don't have European football to play right now, so they are having an easier time of it with more time off for the players. So how they aren't bossing it currently speaks more about them.

Ha perhaps one of our footballers can start a skincare brand, it might encourage more men to look after their skin. Looking at you here Marco, aka Mr. Pale, I dread to think what damage the Miami sun is doing to your skin!

No, you're right, it's been quite the revolving door at Spurs. Pochettino has only been at Tottenham Spurs since this season! He was at Southampton for eighteen months (his first experience in the PL, where he managed to win the fans over because they sacked a decent manager to get him in) only for Pochettino to be poached by Levy. People thought Pochettino (some papers call him Poch Spice, which makes me lol) was crazy to go from well regarded Southampton to batshit crazy atmosphere that is Spurs, but you get the feeling that Pochettino is looking to go back to La Liga for a big club, but working his way via England first. Southampton is a lovely club with an excellent academy, but Spurs has profile, which I think will help him if he goes back to the crazed La Liga. In the almost two years he's been here, he's gone from speaking no English (had an interviewer all the time) to fluent English, and putting himself in front of the cameras, doing press conferences, etc.

Pochettino was well regarded in Spain, when he managed Espanyol (a smaller club based in the Catalan part of Spain) and word was Mourinho was so impressed by him (when Mou managed Real Madrid in La Liga) he's the one who called Southampton and told them to hire him, because his talents were being wasted at Espanyol (they were going through it at the time), but I think Levy after the revolving door of the club that is Spurs, is holding his trigger finger for the while, realising that you need to give the coach and his methods time to bed in. It helps that Pochettino, unlike AVB seems to be pretty tactically agile, and he believes in home grown talent (thus saving money) than actually buying talent from outside, which I think appeals to Levy.

It helps Pochettino that if he got fired today he'd get a job tomorrow, so I hope he stays at Spurs for a while. I've liked the cut of his jib since his time with the Saints.

Oh gosh yeah. I think Xabi Alonso advertised for Nivea skincare while he was shilling for any company who looked in his direction, but dropped that sharpish. I look at his face now and grieve. Like... dude, sunscreen would have worked for you. D: Save your skin, Tin Tin! I shudder about his tattoos, because the sun's rays are bad for them. SPF 30 or higher, please.

Ugh, there's a reason why they are calling LvG WhingevanGaal, the man's a menace. Thirty players on the books, you can well get fresh teams, despite the injuries.
