My exact reaction to the mess of a match Manchester City played last night

Match scores, reactions, overviews
Bayern Munich 2-0 Roma
Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba suffered a knee ligament injury during his side's 2-0 win over Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Alaba put in a star performance for Bayern, setting up the opening goal with a pass to Franck Ribery. But he limped off with 10 minutes remaining.more here

Manchester City 1-2 CSKA Moscow
You know what? Let me just leave this here

Manchester City's performance last night, in one picture

Even by the dismal standards of Manchester City in the Champions League this was a low. Defeat at home to what had been considered the weakest team in Group E, reduced to nine players by the end, never ahead at any stage of the match, trailing after two minutes, Yaya Toure banned for the rest of the campaign, this was close to as bad as it gets.

They are not learning in this competition, they are not growing. If anything, they are getting worse. Manuel Pellegrini sets his team up the same way, despite the very obvious pitfalls against counter-attacking teams, major players fail to perform, others do not apply themselves with anywhere near the required care. Europe cost Roberto Mancini his job and it could do for Pellegrini, too. CSKA Moscow deserved their win. They looked the more dangerous team, they took their chances, they defended with gusto.yes, it's the Daily Mail, but it's a good article. Click and deal

Joe Hart has his tuppence worth to say, too I think he's the only one who cares, tbh

Barcelona 2-0 Ajax

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in their day-glo kits
Lionel Messi got a brace, broke some records. Oh, you want more? here

Chelsea 1-1 Maribor

Given the accusations of complacency, Chelsea probably did not merit more than a stalemate. “I was conscious of it a bit before the game, but I was not successful in passing over that message,” added Mourinho. “If I cannot convince the players that the game is difficult and you have to play from minute one, obviously it’s my responsibility.” That is a concern before a trip to an underperforming Liverpool side on Saturday lunchtime. As for the Champions League, qualification for the knockout stages will have to wait.Mourinho was mad, Hazard missed a penalty shot

Sporting CP 4-2 Schalke 04

Sporting CP boosted their chances of reaching the knockout stages of the Champions League with a 4-2 victory over Schalke 04 in Group G.

Islam Slimani's own goal gifted the lead to Schalke, but Sporting hit back through goals from Naby Sarr, Jefferson and Nani to take control.

Schalke reduced the deficit late on through Dennis Aogo, but Slimani broke away in stoppage time to score at the right end and wrap up the win for Sporting.more about the match here

Paris SG 1-0 Apel

The Uruguayan struck inside the first minute to hand his side another victory which sees them confirmed as qualifiers from the group

Edinson Cavani was once again the difference for Paris Saint-Germain against APOEL as his first-minute goal secure a 1-0 win.

The Ligue 1 champions were missing striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic because of a heel injury, but still had too much for their Cypriot opponents at the Parc des Princes.

This was underlined as early as the first minute when Edinson Cavani collected a Gregory van der Wiel cross in the box before firing in a shot on the turn.more match analysis there
