Hi, welcome to TV Thursday, a day dedicated to critiquing and criticizing the preceding week's television from a feminist/social activist perspective.



November 7th - 13th

Lie to Me: The Canary's Song
Lightman investigates the death of six miners in a coal mine explosion; he believes foul play may have been involved, so he puts his own life at risk to uncover the truth. Meanwhile Foster and Torres work pro bono in an FBI case.

Mike and Molly: Mike Snores
Molly is having difficulty sleeping due to Mike's snoring, while Mike decides to do his best to make Molly more comfortable at his apartment. Finally, Mike agrees to spend the night at Molly's place for a change, where he gets to know Molly's mother and sister better.

Raising Hope: The Sniffles
Virginia panics when Hope catches a cold and the rest of the family has no health insurance, so she makes drastic measures to prevent others catching it. Jimmy gets a second job in order to take his daughter to the doctor.

Glee: Never Been Kissed
In order to prepare for Sectionals this year, Mr. Shue hosts the second annual "Boys vs. Girls" mash-ups competition. Meanwhile, Puck gets out of juvie and strikes up a new friendship while Kurt makes a new friend from another school.

Hellcats: Finish What We Started
Savannah, upset with Marti for keeping a secret about Dan, decides to spend a few days at home to calm down and reconnect with her family. Meanwhile, Marti tries to sort out her feelings for Dan and Lewis and focuses on Travis' case to keep her mind off the situation. Vanessa turns to Red for help after Bill Marsh takes away the Hellcats' gym.

Law and Order: SVU: Penetration
Benson and Stabler are investigating the rape of Agent Dana Lewis when suddenly she no longer cooperates and cites her undercover assignment as the reason. Frustration leads to the detectives joining her operation, which is protesting the plans to build a mosque at Ground Zero - at least that is what is supposed to be happening.

The Vampire Diaries: Katerina
Elena is put in peril when as she searches for information about Katherine's past. Knowing that Stefan would disagree with her plan, Elena swears Caroline to secrecy. Meanwhile Bonnie and Jeremy meet a new student, Luka, with an unusual family history and Damon uses a new-found confident to discover the purpose of the moonstone.

30 Rock: Brooklyn Without Limits
Liz finds a pair of jeans that make her look amazing. Jack throws his weight behind a loopy independent congressional candidate running against Regina Bookman. Jenna helps Tracy organize a gathering to secure a Golden Globe nomination.

The Good Guys: The Getaway
What starts out as a romantic getaway for Jack and Liz turns into a suspicious investigation of the bed and breakfast owner who acts curiously. Dan heads out to the B&B to join the action when he hears about Jack's detective work on his time off.

Smallville: Abandoned
After seeing a video of her dead mother, Lois goes to the Fortress to make a fateful decision. Meanwhile, Clark and Tess investigate a mysterious orphanage tied to Tess' past, and confront the headmistress, Granny Goodness, and one of her wards, Harriet.
