I'm bored and it's raining, so I thought I'd post some male pop solo songs, so we can talk about Where The Boys Fit In.
As you will soon realise, I am old and British, and also hate that processed sit-on-a-stool boyband sound, so this isn't exactly a full sample ;)
Robbie is a good lesson in how to find the right people to help you leave a boyband and make classy records. For a while. Also LOL Daryl Hannah.
This is for people who don't think cute little acoustic guys sell in Europe. Also he's so adorably adorable.
Ok, this is way too indie for them but I think it shows that 'indie' doesn't have to be 'weird and depressing'.
This dude has done ok for himself. It's also worth noting that his boyband origins weren't as well-known here. Wow, look at him dance! Aw.
This is even before my time, but check out how to be a male diva without being cheesy. Although boy should lay off the disco dust and eat a burger here.
I wanted someone who didn't use a lot of fancy footwork, so here's Marc Almond from the olden days (although he's not technically a soloist here). He also goes to bed in his eyeliner.
Because you can't talk about it without mentioning him.
